Summary
The woman slid her way across the finish line, collapsing in a heap on the ground just after she crossed the line, rolling sideways, her arms out to the side, her ski poles askew, her legs tangled together, her full chest snapping up and down as the crowd screamed and hugged and her coach ran over to help her up.
New.
World.
Record.
C. Kiramman from Piltover, of all the fuckin’ places, had fucking smashed the world record.
Hold up.
Vi’s eyes widened, moving from the tv screen to the woman still sitting quietly at the bar, a rocks glass in front of her.
She had dark hair…she was slender…she had legs for days…and…her beanie was Piltover colors.
Vi walked forward the final few strides and slid in next to her.
Vi cleared her throat, doing her best not to startle her, “Is uh…is that you?” she asked, inclining her head toward the screen when the woman - Gods, she was fucking gorgeous - lifted her head to look at Vi with beautiful, curious blue eyes.

Summary
While ducked down behind the counter, the door to Family Video opens and the bell chimes.
“Greetings!” A vaguely familiar voice says.
Steve checks his watch. Five minutes till ten. “Sorry, man, we’re not open yet.”
“Actually, I work here,” that same voice says. Right, Robin’s replacement. Steve totally forgot about him for a second. The voice sounds deeper than he expected, not that of a high school kid and it definitely sounds familiar.
Standing up, he realizes why when he sees–
“Eddie Munson, reporting for duty,” the guy says, offering Steve a dorky soldier salute.

Summary
Eddie figured that after swimming through a portal to a literal Hell dimension and fighting off a bunch of actual real-life monsters, the worst was over.
Eddie is, obviously, a fucking idiot.
[Or: After escaping the demobats, Eddie, Robin, and Nancy have to figure out how to escape the Upside Down while looking after an injured Steve.]

Summary
It could be because Eddie’s a little bit passed buzzed and closer to sloshed territory than he would have been previously and because every time Steve comes into view, directly in front of Eddie’s lawn chair and his jeans are doing a great job tonight. Well. Every night. But it’s not every night Eddie’s inhibitions are in the toilet.
It’s sickening. It’s pathetic. It’s devastatingly predictable is what it is and Eddie can’t even be mad.
Because Steve Harrington isn’t just a good guy he’s a great guy. Even all his purebred midwestern normalness isn’t enough to detract from the fact.
[Or: 4 times Eddie drinks with Steve and 1 time he doesn't]
