Summary
Trigger Warning for Quiet Hands; a quick little thing I wrote immediately after seeing a certain scene. It was pretty distressing, actually- Hajime is clearly autistic, but it seems she wasn't ever diagnosed, at least not professionally, and seems to have mostly coasted by unmolested by the system. Looking at Hajime, she seemed invincible, like an ideal- what we all could be, unbroken by the system.
Then... I can't really remember what episode it was, but it happened. It shocked me, I wasn't expecting it. I was so overcome that I had to write this, and so, I did.
Edit: My thoughts on Hajime re:diagnosis have changed- now I think it’s possible that she may have been diagnosed when she was younger, and has since moved past her trauma, making this view on Hajime’s past outdated.

Summary
“I think,” Morty pauses, swallows dryly, tries again: “I think we should talk about it.”
Honestly, Rick thinks they really should not talk about it. Morty has this idea that talking is the best way to cope with grief, which, if you ask Rick, is stupid. After all, who’s to say one coping mechanism is better than any other? Some people like to talk about it with close friends and loved ones, some people like to pretend it never happened, and some people like to have sex with their underage grandsons and then slam their own heads in convection ovens. Again: who’s to say?
Morty is still looking at him expectantly. Meanwhile — for some reason — they both still have the other’s limp dicks in their hands. It’s like having a relay race at the fucking deli section.
It’s the anniversary of absolutely nothing. Rick copes as best he can.

Bookmarker's Notes
A thematic companion to Call it Grief (though it isn’t)
Brilliantly written- while An Ignorance of Love deals with emotions brilliantly, its prose was lackluster, not that one would notice. The stream of consciousness here is a brilliant representation of being wasted, as well as Rick specifically.

Sometimes, heroes are just villains masquerading as saviors. Izuku was always desperate for salvation.

Bookmarker's Notes
(To be updated to be more coherent at a later date)
A sort of thematic companion to this is not an exit door
All Might is a better person than Rick fucking Sanchez, but in his very attempt to minimize the damage caused by his sexual abuse of a young teen, he causes more damage in the short term
