Summary
In one universe, King Viserys I Targaryen's inaction and weakness led to dancing dragons and a dying dynasty. In this universe, he makes slightly better decisions in slightly worse (for him) circumstances, and the world changes for the better. This Viserys loves his brother and daughter more than he does making peace, and it makes all the difference in the world.
Or, Viserys still marries Alicent, but she cannot give him a son. It takes him too long to name Rhaenyra heir, but he betrothes her to Daemon from that moment. Otto Hightower plots, but the House of the Dragon is united, and they will not let themselves be torn apart.
