“It is not your time, Aranea.” she tucked a stray curl behind Peter’s ear, her eyes filled with sorrow.
“Who are you?” Peter asked, his voice hoarse. His hands were shaking, so many thoughts running through his head.
“I am someone you should not have had to meet this soon.” She looked up towards the starry sky, moonlight illuminating her face. “As much as I wish I could, I cannot take you home. I can, however, bring you somewhere that you may find a new path. I can take you to a new world. I can give you a chance at a new fate.” she looked over at him, an unreadable expression on her face. The question in her eyes was clear

OR: peter parker has found himself in Gotham with some help from his gurdian angel (maybe?) and no clear way home. The bats are trying to figure out what the hell is up with this energetic ball of trauma. Hijinks, arguments, and fistfights ensue, and Peter's left trying to figure out what the hell is making people mutate into semi-violent beasts.
