“I’m going back for Drift, and I’m not stopping until I find him, or until whatever took him kills me.” Rodimus stares around the circle, one by one. “No one else has to come with me. You want to find the Knights? You’ll do it without me. I’m going to find Drift.”

Summary
The gods do not rule. The gods are bound. When a new Prime rises, the faith moves swiftly—they chain their gods before they can ascend. It has always been this way. The Hunt is sacred, the capture inevitable.
That is how the Cybertronian race learned to thrive.The temples are built from Primes’ strength, the city is blessed by their unwilling sacrafice. The last Prime ascended long ago—leaving the city to slowly wither in their absence. The faithful have waited, watching the cracks form in their golden age, whispering prayers into the void.
Today, their prayers are answered. Rodimus Prime is dragged in chains to the temple, crowned in dust. But Rodimus does not kneel.
And Drift, bound by silence, is beginning to listen.

The thunder rolled across the sky like a freight train, rattling the windows of the Lost Light Cat Shelter and sending vibrations through the floor that made every cat inside tense with unease. Rain lashed against the glass in sheets, and the wind howled through the eaves with a mournful sound that seeped into every corner of the building.
In the darkest corner of the main room, pressed against the cool concrete wall, a small orange and yellow cat trembled.

Summary
After a long time of nothing, no proper adventures, no work to do and mind still longing for the good old days. It brought Rodimus in to a deep depression, he tries to get his mind off it by finding a place that would not remind him of his "good old days" for now and maybe make some new memories to happily remember.
Meanwhile, Lightning McQueen is going through a breakup with Sally. Not much can cheer him up at the moment, not even his best friend. Though the suggestion of racing does at least lift his mood, it always made him happy to do some races. Maybe partaking in the old race events around the local area again would do him good, there is even a newcomer, a racecar as well. Painted in flames and joins just in time for the first one of the month, a tourist by the sound of it, but he seems like a good car to chat with, might as well make a new friend and show the new guy around.
