Summary
Ten years ago, the GAR and the Jedi deserted the Republic to save themselves. The Coruscant Guard didn't go with them.
What Fives never realized, was that the Coruscant Guard were the ones to find Echo in the machinery of the Techno Union after the split, and that means for the first time since the GAR left the Republic, he'd have the chance to see him again.
It doesn't quite go the way he would have expected.

Rex’s first impression of Cody, as verbalized, was: “Fox is going to eat you right up.”
Cody was not entirely certain whether this was meant as a positive or a negative.
“Positive,” Rex assured him. “Very positive.”

Summary
Nearing the end of their training, Cody, Ponds, Fox, Bly, and Wolffe begin to question the life they’ve been forced into. They decide to contact the Republic and the Jedi, fighting to prove their sentience and to liberate all clones from the oppression of the Kaminoans.
Cody is a deserter, the first clone off of Kamino, and ready to wield his wealth of knowledge on sentient rights law. Rex is a stowaway, in way over his head, and excited to meet a Jedi (any Jedi will do!).
