And make it double! ISeeFire's story Homeward Bound is something everyone should read. Really! These two characters are the children of Bilba Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield. Though they haven't been born yet, Bilba has received mysterious dreams of the desolate future that these two often appear in. When talking about them with Kili, she bemoans the fact that the combination of Durin and Took was one that would cause Middle Earth to be in constant chaos. This is the plot bunny that formed! One has a honey bucket, the other a basket of feathers. Wonder if those Shire relatives are ready for the storm to follow?

Now we have Syrath the baby dragon dancing proudly over his triumph! First flame, a milestone in any firedrake’s lifetime. Pity about the quilt. Not that Syrath or Bilba mind much. Though Primrose the baby Shire dragon seems to be affronted by it….

Fanart for a story called Little Swan Lost by ISeeFire. Even if it is still in its beginning stages, I really am impressed by the amount of character that Bilba has in this story. It has also made her into somewhat of a BAMF, though I am told that her character has not had the chance to fully blossom into that person. At any rate, its a modern AU fairytale that has Bilba forced to marry Thorin, and neither are too happy about the arrangement. Especially since both had previous flames. It will be interesting to see how these two get past each other’s differences.
