It started out as a One shot - it's more like a two shot now!
Does it have the predictable tropes? Of course!
One horse.
One bed at the Inn.“Why are we stopping?” Elain asked, not facing the male.
“ We will be riding hard for the next few hours, we need to get…,” He paused, waiting for his mate to deign a glance, “organised.” He finished with a sigh before hopping off the chestnut stallion. Elain kept her eyes trained on that maple tree ahead, focused on the beading rain, she kept her eyes there as Lucien manoeuvred their bags, securing them. He walked around their mount, Chestnut, as he ran his large golden hands down its flanks. His shoulder brushed passed her thigh as he walked around to the front of the horse leaving a searing blaze of heat in its wake. Elain’s eyes darted to him, unable to resist the pull of his gleaming auburn hair, shining like a flame even in this forest of jewels.Bookmarked by Izabela92

After Nesta and Cassian's mating ceremony leads Elain to confronting just how little she has for herself in the Night Court she voulenteers to join Lucien on a trip down through Prythian in hopes of finding something to call her own and build relationships with people other than her sister's group of friends. Fortunately, Prythian has plenty if drama of it's own for her to discover on this extended road trip south.
Lucien is struggling with the idea of traveling with a woman who he previously thought wanted nothing to do with him. He's got no objection to getting Elain out of the Night Court if that's truly what she wants and he's sure that Elain Archeron is capable of doing anything she set her mind to but the abrupt change of direction in their formerly nonexistent relationship is leading to some complicated feelings while he needs to keep his head on straight while dealing with estranged fathers and human friends who are practically buzzing with anticipation at the thought of meeting his traveling companion.
