    It is 1996. Cave Johnson is long dead. The GLaDOS project is long shelved. As CEO, Caroline has been slowly but surely dragging Aperture Laboratories out of bankruptcy. When twelve-year-old Chell and her mother move into town, Chell finds herself planted in Aperture as a part of a larger Black Mesa plot.
