Summary
This series begins just a few weeks Post Reichenbach Fall. Sebastian Moran sets out to kidnap Mycroft Holmes and repay him for torturing and (as he believes) killing Jim Moriarty- he succeeds in kidnapping him, but the rest does NOT go according to plan.
Potential spoilers follow:
* set in a world where shifters (were creatures) exist, are contagious, and in the modern era are usually feared... and in many/most countries are stripped of their rights.
* This series covers past abuse, betrayal, rape, and other things that would be archive warnings if they happened "on screen", but they are all in the past. they ARE discussed by the characters in the present.
* the primary relationship is surprisingly healthy? although they move WAY too fast, and the ... origins of the meeting (intended serious harm) was not good. in an ideal world every single person in this mess would have years of therapy first.
* Yes, some people get forgiven for things that in real life the authors would likely never forgive, nor advise forgiving: these characters are NOT exemplars of good boundaries and healthy relationships!- Words:
