Summary
Olympus is in tatters.
The Seven lie scattered. The gods, divided. War rages between Greece and Rome once more, threatening to tear both camps apart at a time when unity is essential. And amidst it all, the Earth Mother slowly stirs beneath the surface, ready to wake once more and recast the world in her image.
In short, things look almost entirely hopeless.
Almost.
Because when Percy Jackson is involved, there's always a chance.
[Sequel to Through Hell and Back. You should be able to follow along with this on its own, but to understand how the characters got where they did, I'd encourage reading that first.]

Summary
Eurylochus remembered dying. He had not fought it, had even welcomed the sweet nothingness in the end, letting go of all the hatred and lies and betrayal for eternal peace. He woke up years in the past, where Polites was still alive. Eurylochus stumbles through life and resigns himself to suffer eternally at the hands of his self-sacrificing family while trying to save said family from themselves.
Extract:
Polites.
Eurylochus’ heart leapt out of his chest, his legs pulling him towards the curly-haired man even before he knew what he was doing. Feet pounding against the rocky terrain, he ran as fast as he could, dodging boulders and cows and unconscious men sporting a variety of blood splattered wounds.
Polites stood ten feet from the cyclops, helping up a soldier. He frowned when he saw Eurylochus a few paces behind him.
“Eurylochus?" He asked, concerned confusion evident in his tone, the idiot apparently picking up on Eurylochus’ distress but not the fact that the cyclops' club was swinging directly towards his turned head.
No. Not again. Eurylochus thought, begged, as he threw himself onto Polites, a tangle of limbs and swords.

Summary
There were rumors, quickly squashed by the island kingdom, that the Prince of Ithaca had grown wings on his feet when he was a boy. There were rumors that he had wings elsewhere too; on his back and behind his ears. They were squashed even quicker. Anyone who could get a look at the prince could see that his body was not adorned in feathers of any kind.
None of them knew, and Ithaca’s royal family planned to keep it that way. Fearing that this problem of unknown origin (curse or yet another divine being’s fling with a mortal) would be seen as an insult to the gods and bring down their wrath. Odysseus has grown used to having to cut down or hide the extra appendages, but the struggle only grew when he was forced into the Trojan War.
Now, with the war at its end and his fleet ready to return home, he only has one thing on his mind; getting home to his wife and son.
OR
An alternate universe where Hermes's relation to one particular Greek hero becomes a bit more prominent, and he suddenly has a much better reason to help Odysseus on his journey home.
