Summary
The second Henry gets the text that Alex is done with his final LSAT and on his way home, he sets their shared flat up the way he’s been itching to all day. He hadn’t allowed himself to do it earlier for fear that the anticipation and anxiety would kill him before he even got the chance to tell Alex that -
No, that was for later.
For now, he pulls on his soft tan cardigan, the one Alex laughs at him for, but can’t help twisting in his grip when they settle together to watch a movie after long days studying. He’s freshly showered, his hair is gelled the way he likes - a couple of strands falling over his forehead - and he’s wearing his father’s ring as he always does, on his left hand pinky, praying to his father for the strength to get through the evening without crying, however it occurs.

Alex’s last text to Henry.
4 months ago and immediately after Henry had landed in London. It was the final message after a dozen more filled with worry and anxiety, questions about where Henry was and what Alex could do to help. It was resignation. Acceptance of the fact that Henry had left, had left him, and not just their bed.
Henry scrolled up from his waiting message; the words ‘Oh, Alex, I’m so sorry’ were pulsing in the text box. He itched to send it but would it be well received? It had been 4 months after all, and for all he knew, Alex had blocked him, anyway. If he never sent the message, he’d never know for sure whether Alex had pressed the ‘block’ button.
Or, Henry grapples with the repercussions of leaving Alex at the Lake House as he watches Alex from afar, unable to comfort him. But, as in every universe, they find their way back to one another. Eventually.

Summary
He shouldn’t have done it but trying to deny himself made him itch to do it even more. And it’s not like anyone would have seen, what with the guards being stationed outside the room, and not within. So when June had left the room, unsuccessful, Alex had walked up to the dais Prince Henry lay upon and pressed his lips to the Prince’s. It was like kissing the smooth marble of a Grecian statue, his lips cool to the touch, a pretty dusty rose shade.
Alex could have sworn the kiss lasted no longer than three seconds, but in that short moment, heat blushed into the Prince’s being, his cheeks filling with warmth, from where their mouths were connected. Alex stumbled back with an aborted gasp and watched as the Prince’s fair complexion bloomed with colour; his cheeks speckled red, his limp hair sparkled gold, and his skin became a healthy peach.
Alex stared in wonder, unable to move. It was barely a full minute before the Prince’s eyes sprang open, startled and searching, unbothered by the year they’d been unused.
Or, Alex accidentally wakes the Sleeping Prince.

Summary
Holding a tiny mandarin between his fingers, Alex watches Fox.
Alex knows he’s an English student: if it wasn’t the books that tipped him off, it was the soft cardigans, the waft of Earl Grey whenever he walks past, the cream tote bag from Shakespeare & Co., and the superior attitude. But at the moment, he’s simply a struggling college student who needs more sleep: his eyes are tired, there are dark bruises underneath them and his movements are sluggish. It’s not surprising then when the next time Alex looks up from his textbook, Fox has seemingly fallen asleep on top of his pile of Jane Austen books and other literary fodder.
Alex isn’t a complete asshole - only to Fox, in all honesty - and he can recognise when someone is in need. So, before he has the chance to second-guess himself, Alex walks up to Fox’s table, closes his laptop for him, and places the peeled mandarin by his head.
Or, 5 times Alex peels an orange for Henry, and one time Henry peels an orange for Alex. And then a couple of extra scenes, too.

Summary
As they wait inside the vehicle for Shaan to coordinate their exit, Alex looks at the sky through his window, above the thousands of pairs of eyes staring at them from behind the barriers, “God, what an awful day.”
Pez huffs. “I’ll say.”
Henry grimaces. “Commenting on the weather, my love? So British. Christ, I really am rubbing off on you.”
Alex gives him a cheery smirk. He’s so handsome in his black mourning suit, tailored to the most acceptable degree without giving Philip a heart attack and without giving Henry a reason to drag him back to bed. The smirk especially doesn’t help Henry’s resolve.
Alex leans in to place a kiss on the side of Henry’s neck. “I love you.” He pulls away much too soon for Henry’s liking, his eyes soft. “We’ll get through this, sweetheart.”
Or, Henry, Alex, and Pez attend Arthur's funeral in a parallel universe where he dies after the email leak.

Black and red streaks of magic fly over the streets of New York, too fast for any living creature to see. It may seem they’re just wandering aimlessly, but they have its target, swirling and turning as they race towards it. It’s a breathtaking spectacle, but all they carry is pain.
Eventually the magic turns for the last time, heading for a beautiful brownstone, the entire neighborhood completely unaware of the magic waves bursting inside, bypassing the powerful wards the owner of the brownstone has put around his home.
(Or the one where Alex accidentally curses Henry to lose the thing he loves the most, and things go horribly wrong.)

Last night, Alex hooked up with the most attractive man to ever exist after getting stuck together in the elevator of his apartment complex. He's incredible, but the second day of the job that will make or break his career is not the time to be starting a relationship; even if he kind of wants to scream every time he thinks about Henry.
So you can imagine his fucking surprise when he walks into the office the next day and sees none other than his Henry—elevator Henry, blue-eyed, British, dreamy, with thighs for days Henry—standing and talking to Pez. It’s in that moment that it all clicks, and Alex realizes. He’s Henry, as in, Henry, his other boss. Henry, his boss, a.k.a. the man who was on his knees in Alex’s bedroom last night. He is so fucked.
Or: Alex and Henry get stuck in an elevator together; Chaos ensues.

"Cool," the man says. "You're making me hungry for breakfast with this order, man. Which is bad for me, because my breakfast is usually just coffee, and there's no way I can drink that this late."
"Uh," Henry says. He's pretty sure dashers don't talk this much during orders.
"Anyway," the man says, handing the bag of food to Henry, "enjoy your night."
Five times Henry gets late-night food from his insanely hot DoorDasher Alex, and one time they get food together at a normal time.
