Summary
Obi-Wan felt Xanatos’ gaze as it settled on his face. There was no malice in the midnight blue eyes, no deception in the bright smile, but the sharp edge of his intense perception stabbed Obi-Wan through the heart, and left him feeling as if he had been pinned to the wall and held there for examination, like some strange insect on display.

Summary
It had not taken much to convince the cart-driver he belonged among the dead. With eyes bruised black and ghastly pale skin, he looked far more like a ghost than a living, human boy. He had no strength left to rise, but this only served to complete the illusion that he belonged with the other passengers in the cart; those who would never rise again. Obi-Wan was lifted from the ground, heaved over the driver’s shoulder, and tossed atop the pile of stiff limbs and frozen faces. It should have been enough to make him sick, but he was already too sick to notice the difference. He closed his eyes and drifted, far away.
Obi-Wan makes a desperate attempt to escape an isolated city that has been overtaken by disease, in the hopes of finding his Master, and a cure, before it is too late.

Summary
Luminous beings are we, Yoda was fond of saying, and Obi-Wan felt that he was beginning to understand it. Qui-Gon often appeared cool and commanding, but his Force-presence was warm and gentle. He wrapped Obi-Wan in a sense of calm security. Achieving a healing trance felt less like falling asleep, and more like waking up—waking up in a luminous world of warmth and light.
But as he reached for the hazy glow of the Force, Obi-Wan’s attention was drawn elsewhere: to small specks of shadow that had slipped past Qui-Gon’s shields. Amidst the comfort and safety, he caught glimpses of fear, anguish, and despair. They burst like bubbles when he brushed against them, vanishing into the clear golden light, but Obi-Wan felt his heart freeze in the instant he touched them. Even the briefest glimpse of grief was overwhelming. He could not imagine what it must feel like to live like this, day in and day out.
Focus, Qui-Gon whispered, and Obi-Wan forced himself to look away.
A Jedi Apprentice Book 1 AU centered on the bond blossoming between Master and Apprentice-to-be. A spin on familiar events, with a healthy dose of Tahl, for good measure.

Summary
A burst of pain tore through the Force, wreathed in those familiar, fiery, unrestrained emotions that could belong to only one person. Obi-Wan gritted his teeth and sent the speeder into a nosedive, following the direction of the Force signature. It was difficult to tell whether the dropping feeling came from his speeder’s high-speed descent, or from the plummeting of his heart at the thought of what had become of Anakin.
Obi-Wan sets out to rescue his young Padawan after a poorly executed Force jump turns a hurried escape into a disaster.

Summary
He tries to explain. He tries, but he begins to cough as soon his eyes open—ash and smoke from the explosion linger in the air, he cannot take a full breath, and so as soon as the emergency medics arrive, his neck is supported by unfamiliar hands while a strap slides over his head, catching on his tangled hair. An oxy-tank is firmly pressed to his face, and the words he wishes to convey are lost in the sudden influx of oxygen.
Qui-Gon struggles impatiently with the mask. He manages to get a finger underneath the strap, breaking the seal on his face.
“The boy,” he gasps. “Where is the boy?”

Summary
Part I: Under the Moon
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan crash land on an unknown planet. Stranded, cut off from the Jedi and with little hope of rescue, they make friends with some locals. However, survival is tough and there are many trials to face, as they struggle to find a way home. And the Force works very strangely here… especially for young Obi-Wan.
Part II: Under the Stars
With no sign of rescue coming for them, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan decide to remain with the Moon-Kin as they search out a way to either make their escape or call for help. But, life with their new friends is neither safe nor easy, and there are many challenges to overcome as they try to find a way to get home.
Part III: Under the Sun
Increasingly desperate to get home, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are forced to leave the Moon-Kin and venture into the burning heat of daylight. The Sun-Kin, however, are opposite to their Moon-Kin friends… in every way possible.
Part IV: Under the Force
Obi-Wan feels a calling in the Force to return to the planet of the Moon-Kin, only to find his friends facing a dire threat. It will take all of his power and more to save the Moon-Kin and their way of life… though at great cost to himself.
