It’s been three days now, give or take a few hours, since Simon was bitten on the arm so badly he needed medical attention for it.

Only two days since Jevin had tried to give him a wide array of homemade brews and medicines which failed, the first time he’s seen them not work for somebody, and Jevin threw in the towel and sent him to the hospital.
Beep… Beep… Beep…
Less than twenty-four hours since he was told by the doctors he couldn’t be sent home once he was patched up since some unexpected complications came up, no more than twelve hours since he started to pick up on the hushed whispering of the nurses who looked at him oddly, looked at him with what could only be fear.
Beep… Beep… Beep…
And, most importantly, it’s been less than a second since the last shrill beep of that annoying heart monitor that hasn’t stopped making noise since he’s been hooked up to it!
