Sure, he was a typical enough teen, one who loved lazing around and watching tv re-runs while ignoring his chores and homework, dropping by Pop Tate's for his usual 8 snacks a day, and of course hitting up the arcade or any kind of hangout with his pals.
But something about him was just ... "odd", "eccentric", "peculiar", or the worst he'd heard, "queer" - he'd definitely pondered over the last word quite a bit recently...
...and that's where you, dear reader, find Jughead Jones in the middle of his 'Banana Milkshake Crisis'.

Well, he does. He’d just rather not.
He’s not exactly interested in explaining that his dad had outed him as bisexual to basically his entire fraternity by bringing up in front of everyone the time Steve had been outed to his dad back in high school, which would be the necessary backstory for any of this shit to make any sense and, as far as backstories go, it’s kind of a bummer, so he’d prefer to forgo telling any of it.
At least for now.
So maybe it’s for the best that basically the entire campus knows Steve got sent by some of his fraternity brothers on what he thought was a blind date but was actually meant to be a twisted set-up to humiliate Eddie Munson.
