Summary
Decades before a certain boy shot down a Night Fury, humankind quaked and then shattered under purple flames and dark wings. And then one day, with that firestorm thought long gone, one of the few remaining grand dragons fell to the wit of a boy and flame of a dragon.
Now, change is afoot across the archipelago, with humans and dragons scrambling to find their new place. And within the Night Fury named Toothless, memories begin to stir: memories of purple flames, dark wings, and boundless destruction.

Beautifully written feral Hiccup AU, dives incredibly deep into just how animalistic he ends up as, and portrays Toothless and Hiccup bond amazingly. But even besides that other characters are handled perfectly; Astrid, twins, Gobber's and, most of all, Stoick's characterization is flawless. Hands down amazing.

Quite unique take on Night Fury!Hiccup, more alike to were-creature, however tweaked in interesting way. Characters are on spot, their interactions as well. Definitelly a good read.
