Summary
Considering over 800 kudos on Brother Mine, I present to you - a sequel with a pretentious title.
Lucifer just wants to go home.
and Crowley wants nothing more than to get his home back.
Or Chloe Decker is doing a Satan summoning and succeeds. Amenadiel continues to be baffled and unhelpful as always. Lucifer is soft and should learn to communicate better. Aziraphale has a thing for leather and cuddles. Crowley is a physics teacher who uses ducks for nefarious deeds.
They all need a hug.
Only two of those things mean anything to the plot.

Summary
The nations, in their sheer collective idiocy, managed to blow their secret and now they have to deal with the aftermath. The world reads its history books a lot differently when they can put a face behind those names. There are certain implications to nationhood, and they aren't all good ones. In the blink of an eye, all hope of ever having a semi-normal life has vanished. They have forcibly been made public figures, and the world is never going to forget this.

Summary
There is a certain saying about feeling certain truths in one’s bones, and I am wont to believe there is measurable veracity to it, old wives’ tale as it may be. For as we sat by the fire one evening many years ago, my dear friend Sherlock Holmes warned me: “Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence.”
I cannot imagine he had spoken thusly with any oddities such as those we were to encounter in mind, but when I recall the events of one cold November, I can still feel the chill of the early winter air in my very bones—the early winter air, and perhaps something more. At those times I think to myself that perhaps my good friend was more correct than even he knew.(The story was split between 2 threads, follow the link in the notes for parts 7-26.)

Bookmarker's Notes
This piece was written anonymously in 2009 for a hetalia livejournal meme, and as far as I know, was unfortunately never de-anonized. The writer has such a nice way of capturing the language of the books...
I thought this work deserves a place in the archives, it's definitely one of the best crossovers I've ever read in my life. I must say though, it's a lot more Holmes than Hetalia, which I think works really nicely with the story. It pretty much only took the concept of immortal representatives and ran with it. The mystery is not at all challenging if you know a bit of Hetalia, but it's stellarly written and honestly just feels legit. (Personally, it's the journey I'm more interested in.)The old livejournal format may be rather hard to navigate, but please give it a shot. It's a real gem, this one.
