    Summary

Jason is worried about Dick. There's too much on his brother's shoulders (for all Dick would never admit it), and no one else seems to care. After a helmet modification turned practical joke, Jason decides to make that making it Dick's problem might be the only way to look out for his brother. What he doesn't realize is that Dick is looking back.

Dick finally lowered his hands, brushing a clump of hair off his face, which slumped into a serious expression. For a moment, the man he’d become in the wake of Bruce’s death took his place, hair brutally murdered in pursuit of matching the look of a dead man, Atlas defeated by the weight of the world. Then he turned and took in Jason completely, from the top of his white-stained head all the way to his boots.

“Is that… Are those cat ears?”

Or: 5 times Jason tried to be there for Dick, and 1 time Dick returned the favour.

    Summary

There was blood on Jason’s neck.

A thin, rust-colored line just below his jaw. Faint, but stark under the lights. Jason hadn’t wiped it. He didn’t seem to know it was there. The cut was small. Shallow. Already scabbing over. Not even worth a bandage—but enough to lodge sharply in Bruce’s mind like a splinter he couldn’t dig out.

Because it had been close. Too close to the beating artery in Jason’s throat. Had the cut been any closer, sliced any deeper, there would have been more blood still, gushing out to pool beneath him, enough to choke on, enough to drown in.

Bruce willed himself to look away.

In which a minor injury brings up some unwanted memories. Bruce isn’t sure which haunts him more—the death or the return.

    Summary

Molly tried her best. When Harry had told them, Arthur had asked excitedly, "is this a Muggle thing?" Hermione had hurried out a "no!" and a frantic history of gender diversity in the wizarding world.

"It's just that I'm a girl," Harry had said, and Arthur had nodded and asked her about how telephone booths worked. He would call her by the right pronouns until the day he died at the respectable old age of one hundred and thirty three, and he would make it seem easy.

But Molly had to try. Hermione explained things faster and higher-pitched every time Molly messed up a pronoun. Molly frowned and muttered and put extra potatoes on Harry's plate at breakfast. Harry slept in Ron's room, which didn't bother either of them but which made Hermione scowl.

Harry got boxes of sweets and warm hugs, as Molly chewed things over. For her fifteenth Christmas, the Weasley sweater she would receive would be a bright, friendly, terrible pink.

The next time Harry visited, Molly put her on Ginny's floor to sleep-- for some definition of sleep that involved Hermione hissing threats at three in the morning if Harry and Ginny didn't "shut up about Wronski feints, do you know what time it is."
