就在这时，才陷入安静的人群又陷入了新一波动荡。当厚实的人群缓缓吐出一个年龄相仿的金发男孩时，卡卡西感觉整个世界都停滞了，呼吸仿佛都被按下了暂停键，使发生的一切都好像是最糟糕的噩梦在以慢动作回放，因为少年的下一句话就是：
“我漩涡鸣人志愿代替宇智波佐助参加第74届饥饿游戏。”

自己收养的两个学生相继被选作第74届饥饿游戏的参赛者，使卡卡西被迫回到自己逃离了12年的地狱。游走在都城贵族间筹集赞助的他偶然间碰到了一个戴着面具的男人，这个人行事神秘，但却总出现在卡卡西出现的地方。他所流露出的与一位故人惊人相似的地方，让卡卡西不得不重新考虑起那个人是否还活着的可能。
与此同时，都城的上层内部也风卷云起酝酿着一场风波，似乎和消失的13区有着脱不净的关系...... -
