Summary
Twenty years ago, the Warlord of the North came down out of the mountains and slew the king of Kaedwen, taking crown and kingdom for his own. Everyone expected him to be overthrown almost immediately, but he has only grown ever more secure in his position. Finally, the other countries around Kaedwen have begun to negotiate with him as they would any other king.
To seal the new treaty between Redania and the Warlord, Lady Milena de Roggeven, third daughter of the Duke of Roggeven, has been sent to marry whichever of the Warlord’s men he chooses.
Milena is starkly terrified of everything about her new husband; every rumor she has ever heard about the barbarians of the north seems worse than the last, and Lambert clearly despises the very thought of marriage.
Lambert of the Wolves is still grieving his lost lover, dead more than three years now. The last thing he wants is to be married off to a terrified stranger, and he can’t imagine why Geralt and Eskel think he of all people is suited to a diplomatic marriage.
And neither of them suspects the treachery that lies behind the treaty which binds them together.

“Why did you think I wouldn’t like you for being gay?” Steve asks gently.
“You’re Captain America.” Eli’s got his teeth clenched and is resolutely looking ahead. “You stand for truth and justice and the American way. You stand for American morals. You stand for…” he shrugs awkwardly. “Not people like me.”
Steve blows the air out of his cheeks slowly, trying to figure out how to keep the anger out of his voice so Eli doesn’t think it’s at him.
Or, Steve comes to terms with his new world, and gains some children in the process.

Summary
When Steve makes his way into the theater, Tony is up on stage with what has to be the most gorgeous man Steve’s ever seen. He knows his eyes widen behind his large lenses as he bites his lip.
“But new struck nine,” Tony crows to him, ignoring the bang as the door closes itself behind the blond. Benvolio then, huh? That means that the angel up there is-
“Ay me!” he recites. Romeo. Steve sucks in a breath. “Sad hours seem long. Was that my father that went hence so fast?”
“It was,” Tony goes on, but he spots Steve at the back of the auditorium and makes a subtle little motion for him to come up to the stage. He’s got a wicked grin on his face and Steve knows he’s not interrupting on purpose, knows this is one of Steve’s favorite scenes, has heard him swoon over young Leo every time. Suddenly he curses himself for watching this movie with Tony so often. “What sadness lengthens Romeo’s hours?”
The long-haired brunet doesn’t break character, just keeps going. “Not having that, which having, makes them short.”
“In love?” and as he says it, Tony waggles his eyebrows at Steve suggestively.
