Summary
After the not so untimely death of Ar-Pharazôn, the kingdom of Númenor is now officially under the sole rule of Tar-Míriel. In practice, the position of the Faithful remains precarious and unpopular. She doesn't have the support to outright reverse her subjects’ misguided course, but now at least she has an opportunity to start fixing that.
Sauron’s powerbase is entrenched in Númenórean society, but it was based on the favour and support of the king. Openly acting against his nominal sovereign would endanger it. It was time to adjust his strategy.

Shen Yuan wrinkles his nose. He doesn't want to tell him, because he's a stranger, and he shouldn't answer questions from strangers, but he's a beauty stranger-hunter who stopped hunting and listened to Shen Yuan without thinking his ideas were silly just because he was a little boy, and he seems kind, so Shen Yuan has no problem saying:
“Shen Yuan.”... Shen Yuan has very confusing memories, a lot of knowledge that a six-year-old child should not have and he has no idea where he acquired it, and a new best friend. This new best friend is Luo Binghe, he is the coolest, most powerful and strongest, and promises to help him find his way to home!
Even if Shen Yuan, in some way inexplicable even to himself, knows he's far, far away from home.Bookmarked by Raaf

Summary
Shen Qingqiu had promised himself he wouldn’t use the curse he found, the one that tied the caster and the subject together through blood, depending on their version tied their very souls together. He swore he wouldn’t subject Binghe to that, wouldn’t rob him of the chance for revenge by being literally incapable of hurting Shen Qingqiu without also injuring himself.
Shen Qingqiu knew he was lying to himself at the time but surely he can find some way to apologize to Binghe after he soul binds them together and doesn’t have to fear dying horribly
