“Do you want to join me?” Spencer asked, unsteady and imbalanced. Hotch’s eyes shot to his, and Spencer immediately started to back-track. “I mean, totally fine if not. Not exactly an exciting way to spend a Friday night, I know. Just wondered, because you weren’t busy – but don’t worry, I get it.”
Hotch shook his head and cut across Spencer’s rambling.

The case of a missing college boy named Spencer Reid crosses his desk and he doesn't think twice about it, a year later Aaron Hotchner discovers that Jason Gideon, the darling of the FBI, has been abducting and killing boys under his nose for years. The last thing he expected was to find Spencer Reid alive in Gideon's secret cabin chained up, naked, and quite traumatized.
Spencer had come accept his life as Gideon's pet until one day Gideon tells him he has to go away for awhile and he's leaving Spencer in the care of his good friend Aaron.
