    Summary

Objects in Motion (When Unbalanced) tells the story of two dense paladins and the scientist who studies them in an effort to inflict some happiness upon them both. Or, simply, Keith and Lance are stubborn and oblivious, respectively, and Pidge is done with them.

All the one-shots following in this series are moments that take place before, during, or after Objects in Motion.

    Summary

“Just like that, now lean in…”
She did as told and adjusted the grip on her rifle. The steel was too heavy for her small arms and her form was clumsy. There was a slight shake to her hands born from immaturity and grey weather.

In her lessons, she was taught that you never shoot from a long-range because it makes too much noise and you’d be found quickly; it’s best to smother someone with a pillow and then shove your gun into it before pulling the trigger.

That’s too much knowledge for a thirteen-year-old pulled right out of the orphanage a few days ago to know. She feels badly for leaving her friend to take care of the younger kids, it was always hard to do by herself on days where the other was sick- she can’t imagine taking care of that many children.

    BANG

Slightly off the mark- then again, it doesn’t matter if you don’t shoot in the direct center of the head. So long as the bullet doesn’t graze the skull and spare them.

    “Good job, Tojo.”

    Summary

"Within seconds Eddie jumped into the hammock, shoving Richie aside to make room for himself, kicking off his shoes as he did so, paying no mind to Richie’s sudden tightening of his muscles and the redness rising up his neck on its journey to his cheeks. He grunted and played up the part of annoyance. His grip on the pages of his comic scrunched tightly and he averted his eyes as he fidgeted around to make room for the new guest. He tried to hide his flinches when warm skin met with his.

The swinging of the hammock became serene in time, Richie trying to ease up and relax into its rhythm only to feel Eddie’s tough thighs against his leg and side and his calf nearing his shoulder. He had to fight to keep his breath from hitching and his hand from moving away from his comic and onto his leg. He looked up tentatively from the pages in front of him to catch a glimpse of Eds, only to see his face was soft and relaxed, already staring straight at him."

The infamous hammock scene with my own twist on what should have happened.

“I think I heard moaning coming from downstairs,” Eddie says worriedly.

“It’s probably just the ghosts having sex,” Richie says, still half asleep.

    “Shut up, Richie.”
