“No,” Etho answers honestly. “No. It’s too good of a story.” He’s largely indifferent to Joel’s priorities and continues to sip his beverage and eat his doughnut.
Joel smiles disbelievingly.
“Yes, you do. You think I'm a fool and a spoiled brat. Perhaps I am, although I don't see how I can be. People who are spoiled are accustomed to having their own way, you know. I never have. On the contrary, I've always been told what to do and how to do it and where and with who. Would you believe it? This is the first time I've ever been alone with a man of your kind!”
Suddenly he’s a bit more elated than months prior and his character becomes all that more different. Alone and not a body-guard in sight? This is a mighty nice dream.
“Yeah?”
“It’s a wonder I’m not panic stricken.”
“Hm. You’re doing all right.”

Summary
It’s the mid/late 1900s (Apox 1950 - 1970) and wings are going for an all time high.
People are left to cover themselves with cloaks or capes to hide their wings in hopes no eyes have already ripped them clean and barren.Branzy is a poor mechanic living his days in an apartment shared with his friend, (and stranger at times) Rek who may or may not have a red target between his shimmering blue wings from certain politicians and fellows’. Aswell as Branzy whose striking violet wings seem to be going for fortunes.
ClownPierce is a secret assassin with deadly intentions in mind and equipped with long black wings. Prepared with razor talons and an experienced hand in the arts of the dagger and revolver, he’s ready to bring some ‘justice’ to the surface.
Unbeknownst to him (and Branzy), he was already destined to fail before he even tried to do so.
Or, a mid/late 1900s winged LS au but were focusing more on the beauty of the 1900s and these winged fellows of mine!
Did we notice the sun rays illuminating us and thought we were at our greatest,
But in reality it was just the light taking us from our glorified vainest.
