With his meridians sealed, even the slightest bit of spiritual power is inaccessible to him, and his body is too badly damaged for him to break the chains through physical strength alone. He cannot even sense the qi of others, and that is why he does not notice the young master dressed in red, until the youth is right beside him.
"What did you do?" comes a clear, haughty voice. It's obvious from the careless tone that the youth is asking from idle curiosity, not hatred or sympathy, and that, alone, causes the man to raise his head. His eyes cannot focus to clearly on the person in front of him, but he still tries to look.
Someone spoke to him. For the first time, someone actually spoke to him.
The man answers with a hoarse voice, "I killed someone."
