Summary
A man stands outside the tall marbled columns of the Maze bank, sunglasses reflecting the heat of a Los Santos day. The city bustles with movement; cars, people, planes soaring up above. But this man is stopped, considering the imposing structure in front of him as the doors swing in and out with people.
He leans back against the parking meter, hands buried into the pockets of his brown leather jacket, a wolf snarling on his back. No one cares to look at him and he doesn’t care to look at them. After a moment he adjusts his baseball cap a little lower over his brown curls and his eyes flicks to his watch. His mouth twists as he counts down the seconds before he pushes himself up and heads inside.

Summary
A simple smuggling case. That was all this was supposed to be—just a smuggler looking to set up shop on the island, some place where he'd be able to store and ferry goods to the United States without attracting too much attention. Kai expected to wrap up the case in a couple of days, without Alex's help.
Of course it never works out that way.
She's used to Alex interfering with her cases, but she didn't even tell him about this one. So how did he end up with the smuggler she was supposed to be meeting, and why doesn't the seem to know her?
Or: Eliot and Jake are both in the Philippines for separate jobs that turn out to be related. Kai takes the existence of Alex's brothers as a personal attack on her mental health. Ernesto happily goes along for the ride.

Everyone is happy. Luigi is happily married to Bowser, and is serving as an ambassador to maintain the peace treaty between the Koopa and Mushroom Kingdoms. Peach had found the love of her life, and heck! Even that wackjob Waluigi somehow won over the spunky Princess Daisy! In all of this, Mario was finally letting go. Letting go of the painful past that led the brothers to where the were now. The fear and abandonment now felt like a distant memory.
Too bad it had to bite him in the ass.

Summary
Just when things are going pretty great for Eliot, Alec, and Parker, Damien Moreau comes back into their lives. Moreau is still convinced that at the very least a little piece of Eliot is still his, no matter how often Eliot says he's moved on and found better. Everyone knows that Damien Moreau is more than a little used to getting the last word in any discussion.
