Summary
AU where Loki is banished to Earth after Thor: The Dark World. The only way to get his powers back is to prove to the one he wronged most (in this case one Clint Barton) that he sees the value in human life.
Based on an AU my friend Shadowesque and I frequently yell at each other about. Will eventually be Clint/Loki/Laura, but not until Loki gets his powers back. Will update when I get the focus and time to write more.

There was a difference between being exhausted and being able to sleep. Tony knew the difference well by now. He checked his phone, resting on his night stand. In an instant, the room was illuminated in dim blue light declaring it was 2:58 AM. Nice job, Stark, very normal wakeup time. He tried to close his eyes again, get just a few more minutes of rest, but a solid ten minutes passed and Tony realized he wasn't getting back to sleep anytime soon.
In the aftermath of New York’s invasion, Tony can’t sleep. And neither can Clint.

It’s not the last time he almost fights Barton, although it is, objectively, the time he would’ve won by the widest margin. Barton’s in a t-shirt and sweatpants when he answers the door, looks barely nineteen, has soft hair and a soft mouth and soft, thoughtful eyes. Frank’s two tours into a career of them, and whatever softness he used to have got desiccated out of him years ago.
