“This is really happening…Does everyone in your family do this?”
“Only to thirteen of us,” Aguni stands in the stairwell, muscled arms crossed in his black tank top top and looking incredibly intimidating.
“The zodiac,” Arisu says, and Chishiya startles at the rat– Arisu– talking.
“Z-zodiac? But there’s only twelve…” Chishiya’s brows furrow in thought, because he’s not particularly knowledgeable about the zodiac, but he’s sure that there isn’t a cat among the animals.
“Niragi is a special case. He’s not a part of the Zodiac, but he’s cursed just like the rest of us,” Aguni says, and Chishiya is incredibly interested in learning what animal the older alpha is.
“You say curse?”
“If a someone of an opposite designation embraces us, then we’re forced to transform,” Arisu explains, but Chishiya thinks there’s much more to it than what the alpha is sharing with him.
“And Niragi?” Chishiya asks curiously.
“That cat is the reason we’re like this,” Arisu says, voice dripping with venom, “You don't need to worry about someone like him.”
