    When something goes wrong on a patrol in Coruscant's Lower Levels, Fox ends up captured. He escapes. Or, more honestly, a youngling also being held there escapes and decides to take Fox with her. In thanks, he patches her up afterwards and assumes he'll never see her again.

    Then she comes back, injured again but she won't tell him how, instead she feeds him intel about the Lower Levels, like a payment he never asked for. She's skittish and so small and Fox will never turn her away but his worry grows each time he finds himself treating her wounds.

    Eventually, something has to change, but this change is one Fox never saw coming.

    Summary

    At the beginning of The Clone Wars, the majority of the clones deployed to join the fight were chronologically aged between 10 and 13, a result of genetic tampering and physical growth acceleration. However, as The Cloen Wars dragged on, the Kaminoans were forced to deploy troops younger and younger, and to find was to accelerate their cloning and training procedures to meet the need of the Galactic Republic. A few of these clones - far younger than they ever should have been - found themselves assigned to some of the most legendary battalions in the Grand Army of the Republic.
