Summary
After the tragedy of losing Beth, Daryl and the rest of the group wander aimlessly and stumble across a town that holds the key to Daryl's past and possibly his future.
This story will flip flop a lot, bouncing back and forth from Daryl's past and present day. I will notate at the beginging of each chapter what time frame it is, make sure to check so as to not get confused. :)

Daryl Dixon AU
This is set around season 3, after Daryl parts ways with Rick and the prison group to venture out with Merle. Along the journey Merle wanders into harm’s way when baby brother isn’t around to help, and ends up bitten by a walker. Forced to watch his brother die and turn, he then has to put him down. All alone in the Georgia woods, too ashamed to yet make his way back to the prison, he continues his fight to survive...and even makes a friend along the way.*I tried to pretty closely follow the s3 timeline but there are things askew. I'm aware. It's annoying me but I'm going with it anyways. It's an AU right? :)

Summary
Timing has never really worked in Cassia's favour. This point is very effectively proven when the goddamn zombie apocalypse strikes. Cassia is nowhere near her home or her four siblings at the time of the Outbreak, and is instead stuck in North Georgia with her boyfriend, her best friend, and the Dixon brothers. There are, of course, further details and specifications that go along with this, but for the sake of the story and this being the summary; they will have to wait for reveal in the actual story.

"Grow the fuck up Hayley!" he yells and I swing, aiming for his jaw but he catches my arm just in time and pushes me backwards so we are now standing in my kitchen.
"Lemme go!" I yell as I struggle to get out of his tight hold on both of my wrists.
"Why ya gotta be violent girl" he says and I go to knee him in the balls, he pushes me against the island in my kitchen trapping my legs and he looks at me like he's ready to lose it and start punching back
