Margaret Hale, and what she thinks, feels and does next.
Inspired by, and assumes familiarity with, both Welch's 2004 BBC TV adaptation of Gaskell's novel, and the original book.
Currently on hiatus, due both to my personal circumstances, and also the huge expansion in my knowledge needed for Margaret to accurately understand that cotton is still being grown by enslaved Black African people at this time. But I fully intend to return to this piece, as I have been doing my necessary learning.
