Summary
Why she was thrust into Middle-earth, she has no idea. How she became a hobbit, she hasn't the slightest. But what Tabi does know is that she is in Buckland at the very start of the Conspiracy. She must hide her knowledge of the future from the clever Meriadoc Brandybuck, dodge Saruman's men, and survive long enough to get back home...
Tabi made a pitiful whimper and chugged the last of her brandy. She took a deep breath. “The first one I ever read…was about…” she looked above Merry’s head to the portrait of Bilbo Baggins. Merry followed her eyes, turning to look.
“What does that portrait have to do with your story?” he asked, in a low voice. He either half guessed or was getting annoyed with her temporizing.
Like a Band-Aid. “The first story I ever read about hobbits was about Bilbo Baggins: his journey with Thorin Oakenshield and the company of Thirteen Dwarves.”

Summary
An unwitting victim in the schemes of the White Wizard, Bridgit Harlowe is pulled into Middle-earth and forced into the fate of the world she only read about. All she wants is to survive long enough to go home, but the sternly proud Captain of Gondor drives her heart into two.
..."You are welcome, Miss Harlowe," he replied.
"Bridgit is fine," she muttered.
Boromir hummed, pulled his knife from his boot again, and fished his whetstone from his pocket. He began running the stone across the blade with a satisfying scraping sound. Bridgit's eyes watched him. "Is that supposed to threaten me?" she asked.
Boromir felt his lips threaten to quirk upwards. "While it should, it is merely something to do while I watch you," he replied, his eyes meeting hers momentarily. "You are still a flight risk."

Summary
I was only his second choice. Freckled, mousy, short; not to mention from a working-class family. A family who could trace their roots back to the Mayflower, who had lost all English charm. We were now part of the growing population of 'Americanized Mutts', and I was too headstrong with not enough beauty to match. So what could a prestigious Scottish Lawyer see in me that was suitable for marriage?
...My stomach was turning with nerves as I slipped into a soft cotton nightgown.
“Are you well, leannan?” Roderick asked from the other side of the dressing screen, seemingly aware of my stalling.
I swallowed hard. “Y-yes,” I responded, slowly stepping out from behind the French screen. I wrapped my arms around myself, very much aware of the new white linen I wore. The shadow of my body could be seen, no matter how still I stood.
Standing cowardly near the screen, I watched as Roderick folded his kilt and laid it gently upon his dresser, his back to me. I took the time to part my hair and cover the shadows of my breasts and folded my hands over my front. I took another shaky breath. After this night I would no longer be pure, and I would be a woman...
