Summary
The vampire hums thoughtfully, a dangerous gleam in those blood colored eyes. "Just because you're pretty doesn't mean I'll just let you kill me."
"What?!-" The humans' exclamations of shock get cut off as the vampire effortlessly flips them over to pin the ravenette down with supernatural strength, knocking the wooden stake out of his hands in the process. The clattering of the weapon as it skids across the floor is deafening in his ears as panic floods his very soul.
"Such a reckless human, I think you ought to be taught a lesson." His chuckle echoes with a cruel tone, the creature's smile one of vicious malice.
The pit in his stomach grows ever wider, threatening to consume him whole.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Avid shouts, panicking and struggling as the vampire descends upon his neck.
Sharp canines pierce into his skin swiftly.
Before he can even think, he's moaning, wanton and loud, shocking both himself and Scott, who pulls back immediately to stare down at the shorter man.

Gillion probably didn’t even know what it was. Did Gillion have those types of things in the undersea? Maybe he had some sort of fish monster stories in his culture that was equivalent.
And with how Jay was raised in the navy, Chip could believe that she also wouldn’t know what it was. He had no idea what she would know when it came to stories like that. This meant that Chip would have to explain what it meant and He didn’t know how he’d be able to explain that without sounding insane.
