Summary
Gillion was once a renowned motorcyclist, but after a bad crash, he damaged his leg and had to drop out for his safety. He moves to Canella with his busted-up race bike to get away from the fame, living off his previously earned money until he can't. That's when he decides to look for a job and finds a friendly flower shop to stay at. What he doesn't know is that he's only helping out their faux front.
Chip owns a bike shop and makes modifications for the right price. He's been working on a team to compete instead of just helping, but needs another racer for them to have a fighting chance. Despite the majority of the area having high regulations against races on the streets Zero is a hotspot for them. When Lizzie tells him about an opportunity that walked right into their hands he can't help but jump at the chance.
TLDR: Gillion used to be a racer but had to quit because of an injury. He moves to Zero and finally gets a job. Chip owns a workshop and needs one more person to make a racing team, Lizzie knows just the guy.

In the ten years since the Black Rose Syndicate disappeared the people of Mana have been left wondering, what actually happened to this group of vigilantes? Did any of them survive the implosion of their base or the collapse of the Sakura District? What caused it?
Those thoughts are what drove Chip to become a vigilante himself, he needed to know what happened to his family. It was never in the cards to end up founding his own group of fellow vigilantes. But with how bad the corruption in R.A.F.T is getting, maybe having them here will be helpful. And he can help them with their problems along the way too, so it's a win for everyone.

It seems like they’ll all be stuck here for a while…

Of course, another cave-tavern thing where Jay, Chip, and Gillion had to go through. Facing challenges and a slightly twisted and changed version of Truth or Dare to get through each room. Everything seemed to be fine, just questions like “what is your biggest fear” or “what do you think your biggest failure is” and dares like “put on an accent and act insane” and stuff until the group came across the next sign.
“An act of love is required to move forward.”
Everyone was silent until Gillion spoke
“Do I have your consent?”
Or, Gill and Chip have to kiss again just like on the Isle of Desire.

Gill yells, trying to punch Jayson. He stops the blow easily, catching Gillion’s fist in his hand. “Jay. This is unacceptable behavior.” He shoves Gill into the wall. “Your…companions…should know better than to attack your father.
“I,” she starts, licking her lips, “I’m sorry. Guys, please, stop.” Both of them look at her, Chip halfway to crossing to where Gill is. “I’ll handle it.”
Jayson’s eyebrow ticks up. She crosses the room, every step deliberate. Every step takes her closer to revealing the secret she’s kept close to her chest since the day she met Chip in her mother’s tavern.
Jayson’s eyes stay fixed on her as she approaches. “Please. Just…let them go. They don’t know anything.” She stops in front of him, wings twitching. “I swear.”

“Ava?” Jay’s younger self asks, meeting her sister’s blue eyes in the mirror.
“Yeah, Jay-Jay?” Ava smiles at her, expertly detangling Jay’s riot of curls.
“Do you think I should straighten my hair?” She averts her eyes when she asks, looking down to where she’s fidgeting with her hands. “So it looks prettier?”
Ava’s hands pause their careful ministrations. “Jay…did someone—did they insult you?” Their voice is carefully controlled, but Jay can easily pick out the thread of anger underneath the calm. “Just tell me who, and I’ll handle it. Was it Maxwell? I told you not to listen to anything that he said, he’s just an asshole.”
“No. No one said anything. I just thought…that it would be nice. To be pretty like you.”

The Ferin family always connected with each other and expressed their love through official navy letters. After losing Ava, Jay still finds comfort in writing letters to her. Chip finds her stash of letters and misunderstands.

Chip’s dead. Chip’s used to his body no longer functioning as it always did. But the abnormalities. It’s these things that really made him feel alive. And now, the lack of them makes him feel like a husk. But overall, he’s used to being undead.
The crew doesn't know how bad it's gotten under his bandana, just how he wants it to be.

Feeling confident from his earlier guess about Zamia and Star, Gillion speaks up again. "I've seen this before. Do you guys want to get married? It'll give you +2 AC for 7 days. Think about it."
Chip thinks about it. "Me and Igneous? Nah, I'd rather get married to you instead."
Chip was joking when he proposed, but Gillion is serious when he accepts. The two of them confront the feelings they've always had for each other, start a relationship, and get married, all before it'll end in the hole in the sea.

The captain raises an eyebrow.
"Drinking this early? I suppose—just this once—it's good for your health."
"And why's that?"
Lizzie barely manages to avoid being decked across the face, only for the captain to spin around behind her, catching her around the throat before she has time to react. One well-placed knee in the back and suddenly they're standing over her, leveraging Lizzie's own body into a tight chokehold. Air stops flowing into her lungs.
In her ear, the captain taunts.
