Okay, that does it for this batch of cover art. If I make any more, I'll create a "Title Art IV" post. I have no idea when -- or if -- that will occur; my muse is growing even more erratic than whatever is "normal" for her. -

"Charlie Safehouse" Floorplan - Revised and Improved by StarWatcher

Summary
My best interpretation of the floorplan of the "Charlie Safehouse" -- because I spent my first dozen or so viewings frustrated that I couldn't figure out where the action was happening in relation to previous actions, and how the rooms all fit together. (Yes, sometimes I'm dense.)
NOTE: The white can be glaring. I've put a buff-colored version below the explanations, if that's easier on your eyes. Added: my new computer shows it as a much brighter yellow than I thought, so it may not be "buff" to you. But I still think it could be easier on the eyes than the white version.

Summary
Shivering, Nicky draws in tighter on himself. The room they’re being held in is small, but it’s drafty. The vents keep letting in more bursts of air, and they took Nicky on his evening run. He’s wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and the sweat has long-since become cold and clammy against his skin. He has no real concept of how long they’ve been in here, but he knows it’s been at least three hours. That makes it past midnight. There are goosebumps on his knees.
To his left, Joe shifts.
Nicky starts.
“It’s okay,” Joe says, voice hushed. It’s an improvement over the first hour, when he wouldn’t stop calling for help even though there was clearly no one listening. “We’ll be warmer closer together.”
Romance novel blurb: Kidnapped together, sons of rival business moguls Joe al-Kaysani and Nicky di Genova find common ground...and maybe more.

Summary
"Yusuf slowly opens his eyes and he's almost compelled to close them again because the weight of Nicolò's gaze is just too much. There's love and trust and hope but underneath it all there's a hunger that makes his skin burn and his heart jump violently in his chest. And then there are the words. That Nicolò kissed him first is not completely unexpected — he is a man of action who never falters once his mind is made up. But the words are an immensely pleasant surprise and the ease with which they flow from his lips is utterly intoxicating. Yusuf finds that his own usual eloquence has completely vanished."
---
OR: taking the step from travel companions and friends to lovers comes with a pleasant surprise for Yusuf, in the form of a very bold and effusive Nicolò.

Birdsong by energie_vie. 2,6K
A delightful character study of Yusuf and Nicolò realizing they're in love -- beautiful and heartfelt, with stunning imagery, in which we discover that, even when he's making love-overtures, Nicolò is a little shit. Very satisfying all round.

I am the Cat Who Walks by Himself, by GreywolftheWanderer. 31K
I enjoyed this so much. Shifters are always fun, but I particularly like that it's so common and acknowledged in this universe that no one thinks anything about it -- it's just another part of a person, like their eye- or hair-color. And very cool that Rodney's shifter genes let him manipulate energy, first fire and then electricity. A nice balance between day-to-day Pegasus life and fighting to protect their own (IE, kicking Genii ass). Add John and Rodney realizing how much they mean to each other, and this is a delightful way to while away an afternoon. Then, after all that, my muse demanded that I make cover art.

Summary
In a world in which supernatural creatures exist, immortal beings rely on a potion to preserve their sanity: If taken every couple of decades, Praeservitum erases just enough memories from an immortal lifespan to make sense of them all and live an unburdened life.
Joe is a vampire who's never had trouble with Praeservitum. If his life sometimes feels a bit lonely, he doesn’t want to blame a memory potion for it.
Nicky is a werewolf who has grown sceptical of the potion, as he feels increasingly like there is something missing from his life that used to be there, if only he could remember.
A chance encounter sees Nicky rescue Joe from a sticky situation. Although apprehensive of each other at first – they are a vampire and werewolf, after all – Nicky offers to help Joe when his friend goes missing. As they embark on a journey through the night, their lives unravel before them: where are all these memories coming from? And is this really the first time they’ve met?

Though my Soul May Set in Darkness (We Will Rise in Perfect Light), by Knoepfchen. 45K
The story grabbed me from the first paragraph. I thoroughly enjoyed their meetings through time, but ache that they kept losing each other over and over. So glad Nicky and Joe finally figured out a way to keep their memories and each other. Like many of my favorite reads, this story inspired me to make cover art.
