Over on tumblr (theaceofflamesposts), for my birthday, I held a small event that gave people the opportunity to request a fluffy sentence (or three) and a blorbo (or three) and I'd write a cute lil fluff short.

With a hot-headed twin brother, four more protective adoptive brothers, an intimidatingly tall and solid (particularly for his age) adoptive father who comes with a whole bunch of associates that are also like family... Harlan is tough. And anyone who wants to date her has to be ready to not back down from all of that.
Eustass Kid was the first to stick it out - but their relationship draws to a close when it becomes clear they're not what the other needs.
Maybe Roronoa Zoro will manage it next.
And then there's disgraced Marine Admiral Sakazuki, and former Newgate family member, Marshall D. Teach who have their eye on the Newgate Patriarch. The lengths they're willing to go to so that they can knock him from his position are extreme, and Ace might just be their first casualty. If Harlan loses her twin, she may just lose her mind.

I turn around, and slam my forehead into the deck as I fall to my knees. “Please, god, I know the last time we talked I told you to suck an egg but what the actual fuck. What did I do? Is this because of the gay thing? I’ll stop I swear I’ll knock it off just please—”
“What are you talking about? Why were you swimming all the way out here? What’s with your weird clothes?” The Boy, whom I refuse to name on principle, starts rapid fire shooting out questions while wiggling his way across the tiny boat to me.
“This is actually happening. Oh my god this is real, what the shit…” I turn around from my position on the floor to see The Boy crouched inches from my face. I give an undignified yelp and scramble as far back as I can without tipping over the edge.
He gives me that bright grin and announces “I’m Monkey D. Luffy! I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!” Then he cocks his head to the side. “Who’re you?”

Rob Lucci didn't have time to form relationships. His mission, whatever it was in that moment, was the most important thing in his life. His fellow CP9 agents stationed in Water 7 were just co-workers. His only friend was Hattori, his pigeon. When the health of his friend was in jeopardy, he finally crossed paths with you.
And it kept happening, well after you saved Hattori's life.
Familiarity is supposed to breed contempt, but it did the opposite for Lucci. He became quite fond of you indeed.

Summary
We sailed the East Blue, gathered a small crew, survived Reverse Mountain, and finally made it to the Grand Line.
Now that Ace and I have bounties, we can’t seem to catch a break from all the bounty hunters that keep coming after us, and that’s not even mentioning the marine captain who is bound and determined to arrest Ace or make him change sides as she chases us from one end of the Grand Line to the other.
Also, Ace doesn’t know it, but Sabo is alive and out there in the Grand Line somewhere too, and I’m bound and determined to find him with the help of my News Coo friends. If he would stop moving around so much, this would be a lot easier.
