Inari’s ears drooped. They gnawed on the sleeve of their robes. “The human also asked me for knowledge—they want to understand why they feel the way they do. I cannot even begin to fathom an answer...”
“Oh! Oh! I’ve got it, I’ve figured it out!” Dessie clapped her hands together. “The human is trains gender!”
Witchie blinked. Inari’s ears twitched.
“They’re what now.”
“You know.” Dessie made a vague hand motion. “Trains gender. It’s when a human is born a boy or a girl but they’re not that they’re something else. Although that being said, I’m not sure how the train part comes in. Maybe they need to take a train to figure it out...?”
“Err,” Inari mumbled. “The nearest train station is so far outside Tsuyukusa and way past my domain, I do not think I could influence the human to go that far...”
Witchie pursed her lips. “You dolt, don’t you mean transgender?”
(A young Komari comes to Inari asking for answers, and Inari takes it upon themself to help her discover her truth—possibly to their own detriment.)

Summary
The tanker shot into the air. Gummigoo’s head jerked back against the seat with the force, the air knocked out of his lungs—or did he even have lungs? Did he only have the memory (or the idea?) of lungs and breathing, without ever having them? Like his hometown, his mother?
How much of him was actually... Him? How much of it was strings of code lining the inside of his skull?
Gummigoo got sucked back against his seat as if he were on an amusement park ride. He grit his teeth as the gelatine in his body all pulled backwards. The tanker convulsed around them.
Then a sudden sensation enveloped Gummigoo’s hand. He fought to turn his head to it.
(A small added scene while Pomni and Gummigoo escape the debug room.)

Summary
Reality came crashing back then as hard and violent as the castle floor. Vitimir’s knees and elbows took the brunt of the fall, graciously saving his long nose. However, the scrolls bounded everywhere and the potions shattered as they evaded Vitimir’s grasp. A thick cloud of noxious smoke arose from the broken jars, enveloping him.
Above the cloud rose the sound of snickering laughter from various voices. Vitimir’s heart sunk, embarrassment lighting inside him. He dug into his pocket for a potion of invisibility.
Then a voice—a beautiful, familiar voice—scolded, “You should be ashamed of yourselves.”
A hand parted through the potion smoke. It stretched towards Vitimir, clad in a white disposable glove. Vitimir almost choked on his breath.
Hettie’s face came shortly into view, emerging through the smoke as though she were an angelic vision. She pursed her lips together into a worried frown, the only part of her expression visible through her uniform.
“Are you alright, Vit?”
Faced with this towering beauty, Vitimir eloquently responded with a noise as though the air was being let out of him. “Aaarrg.”
(The royal ball looms close as Vitimir struggles to ask Hettie out.)

Summary
Carefully, Philip unfolded his arms. He winced at the dull ache. The sickeningly sweet, disgusting smell of rotten flesh became second nature to his senses, except Philip found now that the smell had worsened considerably. How long was he asleep for? Certainly not long enough for Caleb’s decomposition to get that much worse...
Boiling rain pounded the earth outside his cave in a constant thrum. Above him came the sick symphony of buzzing flies. Philip groaned again. Despite the shiver claiming his body, he rolled up the sleeve to his loose cotton undershirt; he thought that the sensation of the damp fabric clinging to his sensitive skin would drive him mad. Sweat coated his body like a disgusting film. His mind felt light and hazy.
Then Philip realized something. The smell that assaulted his senses was not that of carrion as he originally thought—this smell was fresher, more putrid and sour.
And it came from him.
(After a week straight of boiling rain traps Philip in his workshop with Caleb’s corpse, Philip learns why the citizens of the Boiling Isles usually cremate their dead.)

Summary
Everyone knows that, while probably not dangerous, Pete is just weird. The farm he was left by his late grandfather has gone to ruin, all of his animals are long dead, no crops have sprouted in years... The only thing Pete seems to care about is getting the attention of the Witch Princess. Hell, he's willing to do anything for her!
So when she asks him to put a mysterious mushroom in the Harvest Festival hot pot, how can he refuse?
Little do either of them know, this declaration of love is going to turn Forget-Me-Not Valley on its head.
Hopefully the Witch Princess can reverse the curse before time runs out. But even if she does, will there still be room for her's and Pete's relationship to grow? She's terrified to find out the answer, and even more afraid to admit how she feels, but there are simply some feelings that just can't be ignored.
