It wasn’t rational, but after trying everything else within his limited power, he swore his voice calmed her frenzy. He’d left her alone only twice. Once to scavenge for essentials. Once to wander the streets, hoping to hear even a whisper that Bastila Shan was still alive. But mostly, he was at her side. Watching. Waiting. Wondering.

Summary
While playing through Star Wars: the Old Republic, the thought came up as to how a light-sided (or even gray-aligned) Sith would work while still adhering to the Code. After all, there are many examples (particularly in the BioWare Star Wars games) of Sith who don't act like bloodthirsty idiots. How could the Sith Code be interpreted other than the usual "power at any cost" idea seen in most Star Wars material?

Summary
A lot of lives had been lost by the end of the war, but because of Revan and her Revanchists, the Republic still stands. And now Carth is here, holding an unconscious legend in his arms. “Me neither,” he says, shifts Revan to make her position a little more comfortable. She’s definitely lighter than she should be, but she’s still heavy, and he wouldn’t be carrying her like this if he wasn’t worried about aggravating the blaster wound in her side. “Do you have any idea what she was talking about?”
“All that nonsense about the Sith Empire and someone named Vitiate? I have no clue,” Bastila says. “The last of the true Sith went extinct a millennium ago, though their teachings have lingered, in ancient artifacts and holocrons they left behind. Sometimes Jedi find those artifacts and stray from the Light, calling themselves Sith Lords, but what Revan seemed to be implying…” She shakes her head. “I don’t know, and it’s not my place to speculate. This is a matter best left to the Jedi Council.”

Summary
In another world, another life, the moment of hesitation goes no further. Bastila Shan, consumed by fear, raised from birth to place utter faith in the Council’s judgement, keeps her silence.
Lie feeds upon half-truth upon lie and each careful sidestep only adds fuel to the smoldering, bitter contempt. Shown no honesty, Revan offers none. Secrets and fears are entrusted to a woman with no reason to treat them as anything but weapons, twisted to pierce the hearts of those who pressed them into her hands. The last hope of the Jedi, used and discarded one too many times, kneels on bloodstained marble at her feet. The once breaker of chains, turned in rage to bind the galaxy, returns. The Dark Lord rises from fury and flame and it is as inevitable as the death of stars.
In another world, another life, the Republic falls.
This is not that story.

Summary
