Too much tension with his parents, with his father specifically. They never yelled, but the air would get thick and Mick would find himself staring at his own feet to avoid snapping at his father. It wasn’t good for anyone to talk back, it would only make everyone angry for longer. That tension, the anger he would bottle up in the moment, the sadness it would churn up when it felt that his father wasn’t proud of him.

(or: V just puked his guts out in a public toilet and in an attempt to make him feel better, Johnny's forcing V to essentially give him his cyberware tour and list down his chromes. It's a short tour and it sucks, but they go through it together anyway.)
