Sheila asks him about the library, and he tries his best to reply without feeling like an idiot. “I’m having a really long morning and I don’t know, um. Well, I-” He sighs through his nose. “I was just sort of hoping my brain would leak out my ears, just a little, and I could just spend the entire day unconscious. Or something… Yeah.” Fugo feels like an idiot. Sheila doesn’t seem surprised but she does raise an eyebrow.
“I think we’d have to shake you first.” She takes a sip of her coffee and tries to picture the exact steps. “Yeah, we’d have to shake you first; to mash your brain. Then, we’d need a centrifuge. Only after doing you up like a man size martini could we begin to drain the grey-matter smoothie.” Fugo snorts and bites his pastry in half. “What do you think would drain faster, ears or nose?”

No, my other one, he felt the strong urge to deadpan, just to feel the satisfaction of watching Abbacchio's smugness draining from his eyes as soon as he realized what a stupid thing he'd said, but in retrospect, his family tree was so unbelievably complicated that the affirmation wasn't even wrong. He actually had two fathers, though the implications begged for a new can of worms to be opened, and Giorno could feel his on-and-off headache coming back with vengeance at the mere thought. He chose to leave the matter for another evening, preferrably one with more wine at his disposal, perharps something even stronger. "I've been told he spent his days and met my mother in El Cairo"."

Midoriya Izuku didn't understand a lot growing up. He didn't know why Mommy and Daddy yelled a lot. Or why his friends were always so mean to him. But he did know this: he wanted to be a hero- like All Might. He wanted to save people. He wanted to make people smile.
But most of all, he wanted to make his mother smile again. He wanted to be her hero. Izuku was determined to do so- he knew he could do so- but he never knew how hard it was going to be.
OR
Kids are being kidnapped and quirks are being stolen and Izuku is next on the list. Entrusted into the protection of a man who really looks like he'd rather be dead than awake, Izuku has to learn how to survive in a world that truly wants to get him. It's a good thing Izuku is well established in the arts of life shitting on him so really, the threat of some notorious quirk trafficking ring isn't really the worst thing he's dealt with by himself. He's always been alone after all.
Except, when he learns he's not.

In an instant, Requiem materializes behind Giorno, purple eyes shifting onto Giorno's blue ones, before slipping into lock with Trish's. "Actually," it speaks, voice mechanical and disjointed and overpowering the space like a thick and heavy pressure, "that's a lie."
