The reader is a former member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit, having left a few years ago. The on paper reason was mental strain. It was supposed to just be a break, one that would end in a couple weeks and after a routine pysch eval you would be back in the action. Those couple weeks turned into five years, nearly as long as you had worked in the BAU. The true reason you had left, though, was seeing so many cases, so many bodies that you felt you could have saved. There was only so much work profiling could do, and it was something you and your boss, Aaron Hotchner, seemed to clash over. So you decided to take justice into your own hands, hunting down those who had evaded justice. You never stayed anywhere long, and you never killed in the same place twice. Until by complete happenstance you run back into your old boss, and unknown to most of the BAU your ex-boyfriend. He invites you to dinner, and you can’t say no, but you also can’t stop the work you’ve been doing for the past 5 years. You were a profiler, you can evade the FBI, right? Anything for love.
