When John takes Rosie swimming for the first time, flashbacks of the night he was kidnapped by Moriarty lead him to realise his feelings for Sherlock aren't so platonic after all.
After fumbling his attempt at telling Sherlock, he ends up on the most uncomfortable drive of his life as the two head to the Scottish Highlands for a case. But perhaps the change of setting is what they need to finally figure it out.Post S4 fix-it, set about two years after TFP.

Summary
Sherlock and John can't just spend the evening together anymore. It always ends in one of their beds. But it's not making Sherlock happy. He has to break the cycle: no more drinking alcohol with John, no more seeing John after dark, no more time alone in either of their flats.

Summary
When Sherlock dies, John Watson feels like his life is over too. He’s completely shut down, until Mark Morstan, a new nurse at John’s medical clinic, catches his attention, and helps him uncover the long buried truth of his attraction to men.
Although he’s certain he’ll never get over Sherlock, John plans to move on, and build a new life with Mark, unaware that Sherlock is not quite as dead as he appears, and that Mark is hiding secrets of his own.
