Summary
Monsterkind, now free from their earth-bound prison, celebrates their year of freedom. In doing so, Asgore holds a ceremony to thank the many monsters that served under him.
While the sentries and scientists were to be expected, Asgore's royal branch was not. However, The King feels as if secrecy is no longer needed with most of his private branch retiring to conform to the human's jobs. While plenty of the jobs were surprising, the most shock is given to the sacred Judges being revealed as Sans and Papyrus.
Once home from the celebration, their close group of friends demands the story out of the brothers.
This is about Sans and Papyrus, twins born with the sacred powers for the first time in history, growing into their roles as protectors of the Underground.

After being forced into her role Frisk found herself locked into to what it truly meant to be a ambassador. She didn't want this. If only for a brief second she found herself wishing for Chara just to have a reason to restart it all. In the end, she had no one to blame but herself however. After all, despite his hatred for them and his usual unwillingness to agree to them, Sans always kept his promises.
He promised her he would be happy. Upon the realization that this child was suffering in silence just as much or perhaps more than him from the events of the underground, he held firm. He would make sure they kept their happy ending as time moved forward and he would make sure she was alive to see it. A case study in grief.
It’s been a year since the human tore thier path through the lives of countless monsters. Thankfully, the Underground has found herself a new queen, a ruthless one who will stop at nothing to free her people. Even if it means destroying whoever falls next.
Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with this notion. In fact, Papyrus is incredibly against it. So against it in fact, that he and his brother decide the best option is to take a little ‘vacation’.
After all, history has a tendency to repeat itself.
