Larry and Kabu's lunch together is interrupted when an urgent request from Chairwoman Geeta has them head into Area Zero to investigate what happened to a downed research station. On their way down they run into a very unhappy, very aggressive Paradox Pokemon.

Summary
The main fic, Vargas, explores what might have happened if Johnny hadn't killed Edgar back in Issue 2. It roughly follows the events of the comics and beyond, although a lot of things change in big and small ways due to Edgar's presence.
Johnny infects Edgar with a mental parasite (much like Devi), who Edgar names Scriabin. Their relationship is... complicated.
Every fic in this series stems off of the main one in some way, although some of them explore some very different paths. So to an extent you should really read Vargas first before any of the others. I usually mention somewhere where in the main continuity each fic falls.
