I want to make a goddam puddle out of his spine, make him taint his tongue with my name, exchange his freckles for my teeth marks, make his hole as sloppy and wrecked as possible from my cock alone.”

Kacchan pulls the bathroom door shut behind him roughly. When he doesn’t come back in after a few seconds Izuku's eyes dart between the closed door and his bleeding hand a few times.
So... does Izuku just...take it out?
"Do NOT," he hears as soon as he starts reaching for the knife, "touch! The fucking knife!"
Izuku does not touch the fucking knife.

I fucking LOVE platonic relationships, so much. Literally everybody taking care of or worrying over Ichigo hit so fucking different, I'd gladly kill for more fics like this.
The author did such a fantastic job building up the relationships and developing the ones that don't get much or any attention in canon. I love reading this fic so much, it just doesn't get old.

Don't let the word count fool you - there's no way the author can shove that much emotion and elicit such a reaction in 2k words, right? Fuck you, you're wrong, because their approach to grief is visceral in its nature and inescapable.
And yet, in spite of that, or even because of that, you do not leave this fic with that weight hanging onto you. There is still a sense of future, of recovery despite the pain, and the welcome strength lent from the relationships of those who mourn with you.

Aizawa & MidoriyaThis was raw, so goddamn raw that you want to scrub your skin until it's numb. The emotional and mental toll Izuku went through, it breaks my heart. The sheer tension and pain is enough to stress you out irl, fr - chest pains, breathlessness, stress-squeezing, the works, baby.
The last chapter was a masterpiece, the culmination of everything that happened up to that point finally exploding. This is the kind of fic that has you sitting in the dark after in order to process it. That's the best kind of fic.
