Panic begins to rouse in his gut as the thing tightens its hold. He fires off another explosion with a little more firepower, but it doesn’t even flinch. In fact, it begins to pulse. Staccato and green.
Oh, he realizes. It’s just Blackwhip.

Months after the War, Blackwhip starts seeking out Katsuki in the middle of the night. Izuku has no idea. Katsuki has no plans to tell him.

“What did—what did they do, Deku?” He feels like he’s talking to a kindergartener or something. For all the bullying and insults, he’s never talked down on the nerd like this. He hates it, but he hates the fact that Deku doesn’t seem to notice it even more.
“Nothin’ big. Hit me a few times. Asked if they should, if I thought they should wake you up. Said no.” The nerd pauses, and the moment drags on. He sucks in a breath through his teeth, the sound whistling and thin. “Wanted to let you sleep.”
Katsuki lets out a humorless bark of laughter.
“Wha’s so funny?” Deku squints at him through his one working eye.
“My hero,” Katsuki says. “Of course you fuckin’ told them to let me sleep. God."

Katsuki blurts out: “Got hit by a quirk. Kid clung to me on the street, asked for a picture, I felt some weird shit like a shiver, but I wanted Izuku to see that I can be nice to little kids too, so I sucked it up and didn’t mention anything. But now I keep blurting out everything I think without a filter.”Alternatively: Katsuki gets accidentally hit by a truth-serum quirk right before a mission with Izuku, Kirishima, and Jirou. As if verbalizing every single thought in his head is not enough trouble, there’s also this: he’s in love with Izuku, and won’t be able to keep hiding it for long.

Katsuki doesn’t understand why Deku gives a fuck about some loser future businessman, and she gives even less of a fuck that said extra thinks she’s hot shit. The only person she would care about thinking that is crying her eyes out over this prick, and Katsuki is super over it. Ochako just wants Deku to be okay, so it’s all a bit of a mess.

Izuku wants to pout like a normal teenage girl for once, Ochako’s there with love, and Katsuki is predictably an ass.
