Summary
1st chapter: Max Goodwin's thoughts and feelings and fantasies after New Amsterdam episodes 3.12 and 3.14 partly driven by quotations from his voicemail. Then, what might have happened after the door closed. Also, i am a sucker for the nuzzling which I think will be apparent on reading this. :)
2nd chapter: now Helen Sharpe confesses her feelings and a few of her fantasies which she lives out with Max
3rd chapter: back to Max's POV and some more smutty scenes.
4th chapter: fluffy family with a dab of innuendo
5th chapter: ramp up to final smut
6th chapter: climax aka mostly smutty sex and dirty talk with a little schmoopy fluff at the end
Clearly these characters are not mine but i am overjoyed that they exist and i love writing about them.

Summary
This is an alternative universe story about Helen and Max.
I came up with the idea for it during season 3 because I thought it was very weird that Helen had such an Anglo name when her father was from Iran and she and Mina spoke Farsi. I briefly contemplated that her Ghanaian mother had the last name Sharpe and that seemed unlikely too. At the time I went through baby name lists and came up with original names for both her parents. Post 3.14 we now know her mother's name is Serwa Sharpe, but I was too keen on my idea to drop it and the way it shaped up as I outlined it, I realized it was going to have to be an alternate universe story, anyway.
This first chapter sets the stage and contains no smut but given my plan and my own inclinations, I'll be changing ratings because there WILL be SMUT. But since this isn't a continuation of what we've seen onscreen, there will be more story, more suspense, more mysteries to solve and more motivations to explore. I plan on bringing back some past recurring characters and I'll add more tags as I continue but right now I want to keep my presents in the cupboard.
