After Tom gets expelled from his old school, he's forced to move to a different town and start a new school halfway through his senior year. And all thanks to some teenage pricks at a skatepark, he makes friends with Mark. What he doesn't realize is that making friends with Mark also means being plunged headfirst into the middle of some high school level drama.

It’s just nail polish. He’s worn stupider things in his life—he had a nipple ring, for crying out loud—and he’s made a thousand stupid choices when it came to his hair or his clothes, doesn’t even want to think about the fashion crimes he’s committed over the years in some vain attempt to seem cool, from too-tight shirts to oversized shorts to not wearing anything at all for the cheap shock and outrage of it all, from bleached hair to those regrettable frosted tips.
But for some reason, this feels different.

He kind of hated how everything seemed to keep coming back to him, from heartbreak to success and everything else in between, every facet of every part of Mark's life in the twenty odd years since they'd first met.
But if Tom was his Groundhog Day, then maybe all paths did keep leading back to him for a reason. Maybe it was up to Mark to figure out how to break the cycle, whether he wanted to or not.
Or,
Mark falls asleep in 2014 after blink-182 breaks up for the second time and wakes up in 1994.

Summary
The light is still on in Mark’s window when Tom finally skids to a stop at the end of his street, the flickering glow of a TV, and he kicks up his skateboard and walks up to the side window, giving it a soft, apprehensive tap.
He casts a furtive glance over his shoulder, to the other houses, all of them dark, and wipes roughly at his burning eyes.
Somehow he always ends up here, shaking and ashamed.
