And Chris wouldn’t be worried about it—isn’t worried about it—except that performance reviews are coming up, and he’s no longer actually sure what Wesker’s comments will look like.
One day Captain Wesker comes into the office and won't look Chris in the eye.

Summary
The Wesker that lives in Chris' mind is one of mythological proportion. Something that Chris thinks about, even dreams about.
When he finally works up the courage to enter Wesker's office after hours, he is rewarded with Wesker letting him peel back the myth to see the man who exists beneath.
