Summary
As soon as the words left his lips, Paul saw her whole demeanour change in an instant.
“A child?” the Princess said, perking up; it was a moment of such fervent, unguarded hope in her that he felt himself momentarily ache for the happy wife she might have made, under other circumstances. “Really? You’ll give me that?”
“Oh, no, not me,” Paul corrected quickly. “I’d said you’d have no child of mine, and I stand by that. No — the honour of giving you that shall fall to Feyd-Rautha.”Bookmarked by doubledevour

His mentor, Gideon the First, is hot and cold, switching moods on a dime, and the former Reverend Daughter has a seemingly permanent subdural hematoma. And then there's the blackouts. And the memory loss. And Harrowhark insisting that she's seen Camilla.
He wants desperately to believe her. He isn't sure if he can.

Summary
Feyd-Rautha is more concerned with when he'll be let out of his Arrakeen prison than Muad'Dib's holy war. But Paul saved his life for a reason, and now Feyd has been pulled into Paul's plan to arrange a triumvirate of Houses together, a polymarriage that would bring the universe to heel before the war fully destroys the wheels of power that have been turning for millennia. Feyd-Rautha, war-prize and baron-general. It doesn't have a bad sound to it. He's still planning to kill Paul, but... maybe he'll see how this plays out. He is the slow knife that pierces the shield.
[Part 1 (1-15) complete. Part 2 in progress!]
After Feyd-Rautha becomes an indelible part of Paul's four-part polymarriage, he realizes that his life is getting far more complicated. He is not a man who deals in kindness, and finding himself bent into new positions to slake his own thirst for power begins to destroy him. As the Bene-Gesserit make their moves and factions jostle to undermine the new Shaddam imperials, Irulan steps up to take control, Chani must interrogates the history--and corruption--at the heart of Arrakis, and Paul finds absolution in the desert. But Feyd? He's still just the blade they hold over their enemies.

Summary
He had been part of his father’s government since he was sixteen. He had seen more relegations than he had seen Winternight Balls. He just had not realised that his siblings did not understand it.
“But he wouldn’t,” said Ciris numbly. “Not— not us.”
“Yes, he would,” Nemolis said. “Ciris. He would.”Bookmarked by doubledevour
